The UWA Medieval and Early Modern Studies Round Table is closely related with the Perth Medieval & Renaissance Group, since many of its members are shared. The Round Table was formed to provide a forum for postgaduate students in the field to meet and discuss issues relating to their studies and needs. |
Membership to the Round Table is free and open to all students at the university whose research lies in the field of medieval and early modern studies. Regular meetings are held by the group, and new members are welcome. For more information about the group and joining it, please contact Karen Hall. |
The Round Table also organises workshops, masterclasses, and lectures on topics not otherwise catered for as part of the curriculum or of special interest. In the past these have included visual culture, paleography, Latin primers, and a series of lectures on Neo-Platonism. |
In 2006 the Round Table, with the support of the PMRG, will be facilitating the Honours Sundowner Series of seminars by current and recent honours students. This Round Table initiative arises from the need felt by its members for a forum for honours students to display their research and to interact with peers. |
The programme for first semester is also available to download as a PDF. For more information about the Sundowner Series, please contact Dr Stephanie Tarbin. |
